Calm down people. If a dog isn’t cool with being bopped in the face by a cat, especially if the cat doesn’t have claws, he’ll have no problem chomping his neck in half. My dogs play fight my cat all the time and no matter how “serious” it looks, people who are used to this behavior are able to gauge both animals’ serious level and know when to step in.

The dog was serious.. the fur on it’s back was raised. The cat was semi-serious.. it’s tail wasn’t raised. I guess the cat was just reinforcing it’s dominance of the household, and succeeded

LOVE IT. My dog and cat do this daily and to those who don’t know them, they may think it’s bad, but it’s not. They know their limits and have never hurt one another…it’s just noisy fun!

@goglobalwithme To be clear, the cat initiates this play on a near daily basis (this is one of the few times I have been able to capture it on video) and has since Hunter was a puppy. You will note that cat is on the offensive (not defensive) throughout the video, chasing the dog. The cat often initiates this play when laying on his back, which he would never do if he felt Hunter would hurt him. I would never condone hurting an animal and I know that these two would never hurt each other.
